Hello - I am Vilim Vilimovich. I am here because I wish to remake myself from what I once was (academic) to what I want to be (novelist). My stories fall into three categories, essentially: futuristic fantasies about how the world/civilization might develop; stories that grow out of my study of family history; and what is called alternate histories, which focus on how history might have been different if x,y, or z had/had not happened. Writing fiction is still very much something I want to do, and I have earned no money at all doing it. I am complete babe in the woods, so I come to all of you to give me your wisdom.

Just out of curiosity, why don't you write westerns?

(I rather like Zane Grey)

Hi Vilim... welcome.

I'm Native American - - - ‘nuff said? I know, I know, many friends tell me to write some from the NA perspective--Don Coldsmith does (more pre-western though)---and my alternate history involves the early settling of the US---but I just don't enjoy writing them much, probably because I don't read them much--I don't write category romance either, though many of my stories contain romance--but then so does life.

Well, it's up to you of course.

I've always liked the imagery... the silent emptiness. Of course, not being an American, I'm rather distanced from it all; other issues, other atrocities, are closer to my heart (in the sense that I think about and am affected by, rather than feeling affinity with them).
