Sorry to start a topic about something stupid, but I thought it was kinda cool.

I have a friend who every time he sees me with a book it happens to be by OSC. So, last night we’re playing Trivia Pursuit (aahh, the swingin’ life of a 25 year old bachelor) and I land on Written Word, which I was getting wrong the whole night, and proclaiming whoever the author was as a talentless hack. So, my friend starts the question. “This author won back to back Nebula Awards for his science fiction novels----“ My friend didn’t even finish reading the question; he just looked at me “Just go ahead and say it, and roll again.” The corect answer was of course Orson Scott Card.

Man that’s how you know you hit the big time. When your name is an answer to a question in Trivia Pursuit.

You know when you've hit the bigtime if... Your name becomes only three letters and still everone knows who you are talking about!

You know you've hit the big time when you win back to back Nebula Awards for a rewrite of a short story and the sequel to the rewrite.

It's a bit more complicated than that... read the foreward in Speaker if you're interested.
