Hello all,

I am fairly new here, and though I have checked out some of the old threads, there are still plenty I haven't, so if this is a repeat of one of them forgive me.

On the topic of old threads, a particular thread started by Enders Star, led to a (to me) interesting if somewhat frustrating debate of grammar and teachers and the roles of these in American public schools (Too vague? Good.). But as Kathleen said, and she IS the boss, this is not the place for such topics.

What I would like to know is where do you go, ie what other forums, to discuss these things

Politics of course.

The Sciences, different forums for each branch, most likely.

History World and/or region specific

The reason I am asking you instead of searching for myself, is simply that I tend to like most of the regular posters here and would like to see what other forums you enjoy. Whether they fall under any of the catagories above doesn't really matter to me much. You never know when a writer will want to see others' opinions on whatever topic, and that is what I appreciate about good forums like this one - no shortage of opinions.

Thanks PE

By the way just a note, I may edit this post at some time, the most likely reason would be to expand the above list.

Well, i'd definitely check out the other forums on this site, and OSC's political board, Ornery.com.

Ni!

Other than another writer's board that I don't often visit, this is the only actual give-and-take forum I frequent. My word, this takes up enough time.

Regularly, however, I do check out http://wordnetdaily.com/, http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/, http://drudgereport.com/, and subscribe to the Washington Times which I really love (which is also at http://washingtontimes.com/). Also get magazines like Focus on the Family's Citizen and mailings from various organizations.
