You have to search really hard but it appears the guy wrote a story that won a most suitable for adaptation award from MIRAMAX called "The Slave"

Given that the formatting of the announcement is inconsistant with traditional title citation, I am dubious of the actual validity of the information posted at IMDB.

I suspect this is a self-post on IMDB. I'll look into the validity of the recognition.

no evidence of anything valid or a reason this should be posted here.

Thanks, pantros.

Never heard of him---which proves nothing. Also, the guy who posted (the same guy?) doesn't seem familiar with science fiction (in using the oft-despised term "sci-fi") and with English grammar (shouldn't it be "awarded" unless it was happening as he wrote?)
