Although this is marginally related to writing, I trust Kathleen to remove this post if it is too off-topic.

Someone recently mentioned to me that they had seen cryptic references to 'LH' here. This post is meant to clarify things a bit. LH is Liberty Hall Writers forums, formed by members of Hatrack. I occasionally post references to our writing challenges here because Kathleen allows me to do so. (many thanks again, Kathleen!)

A while back we did some writing challenges at Hatrack. As this is a public forum we had to share stories via email or lose our rights to them. In order to get around that limitation I converted over my website to forums for challenges and on April 1 of 2005, kicked off a 'flash challenge' in a format based upon those I had seen at Scrawl.

We are now at challenge #70 and have collectively written approximately 1200 stories, some of which are in print.

Many of our members are Hatrackers and I hope to see more of you join us as well. I like to think that LH complements Hatrack; LH certainly cannot replace Hatrack and was never intended to do more than provide some inspiration for writing.

You can find out more about LH here: http://www.libertyhallwriters.org/

Sorry about any confusion we have caused.

This is also under "FAQs and Discussions."

Acronyms can floor you. I work in a place loaded with three- and four-letter abbreviations, most of which have never been properly explained to me. And out in the real world, or at least as what's real right here, I don't think I ran across "FAQs" as a word in itself until I first went online...

Lesson to writers: be wary of introducting cryptic terms into your work.

I was sure this would be about Luteinizing Hormone.

FAQ = "Frequently Asked Questions" -- yes I know everyone knows.
But I was wondering the other day, if the questions are Frequently Asked or just interesting ones that people put on the page.

Okay, now we're off topic.
