Have your next protag walk this path to save the girl. Better still, have him come running back down it with her slung over his shoulder. Make your readers heart pound.

The end of Guy Gavriel Kay's Ysabel has a final scene similar to that, taking place in the mountains of Provence.

It is pretty heart pounding.

Looks like a video game doesn't it.

This is in Spain. Apparently built 100 years ago for the king who only visited it once.

I think we should send Sara to go check it out and see if she gets inspired.

I've been in worse places. I do have my characters do a disappearing act up the side of a gorge at one point; I based the climb on Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis.
