Another week has passed and it is again time to fess up as to whether you have done any writing this past week. . This note is to give you a chance to brag about your success, cry about your failures, and otherwise tell about your week. Writing, is of course, anything new you wrote. It is also any editing, even if it is someone else's. It is poetry, articles, writing assignments, blogging (which I would call articles). It can be world building as long as something goes on paper. It could even be E-mails, as long as it is a lot of words and pertains to writing.
I wrote!!!!! I am going on vacation starting Saturday. Last year, my writing partner and I converted a five day vacation she and her husband had here in South Florida into ten Waxy Dragon stories involving Waxy and her Dragon, Laslo.. I am going to visit them in Connecticut this time. We intend to convert our activities into Waxy Dragon stories. It is two weeks and that might add up to a hundred stories since we now have some experience. While discussing our plans for our story writing while I was up there.. We knew we needed a story about Waxy arriving up there. We roughly plotted out the story. I wrote 400 words yesterday and got a good start on the story. Today, I brought the story onto page two and it is now 1171 words. That is pretty good for my normal writing week. This sets the pattern for the rest of the vacation.
I am still writing one handed. There was a couple days where I was able to use the other hand also, but the fingers had to be included in the brace to help on the healing. I will have to wear the brace for six weeks. Happily, the stitches will be coming out Thursday, I will be able to wash the hand properly.
Today is the 28th. I posted idea #25 today. I expect to end the month short. I have no idea how much I will be able to write while on vacation. We do intend to have days where we get home too late to write.
I have no idea if I will be able to write this type of note over the next couple of weeks,
So we return to the question of the week. Yes, I did write.
Did you write?

I wrote about 4000 words this week. Not bad for me.
One short story nearly complete and another heavily reworked.

No. Not for weeks. I had a stroke back in June and totally lost the ability to write and type. I'm slowly relearning. Takes forever right now compared to how I used to touch type and not have to even think about spelling.
I hope to start writing a little at a time maybe this week. It's so frustrating!

Not as productive a week as last week. I did a couple of revisions on a story. The decided that I didn't like it. 8(
I did work more on the plot for my NaNoWriMo novel-in-planning. I fleshed out the summary of the concept. I delivered that as an elevator speech to a couple of tough customers and got solid thumbs up. I feel better.
I also have discovered a website www.oneword.com. They post a new word each day with a text box and a 1 minute timer. The idea is to free write around that word for 1 minute. You add your name and email address and post. It's been helpful for easing me from my day job into writing each night.
My goal last week was to go for 1000 words/day. I figure I made about 250/day last week. Not so bad but need to do better! Leslie

Not as good as last week's production, but still pretty good---only a busy Sunday was skipped over as far as writing each day goes. The amount was off last week's total, too---only five hundred word days all around, no thousand worders for me---but still a good total.
All this put the end of my current thing probably within a few thousand more words, too.

I managed to crank out a seven thousand word chapter just yesterday. Before that, my writing consisted mostly of just editing my current novel-in-progress, as I've firmly smacked into a wall as far as that story goes and need to regroup. Still, it was very nice to be able to relax and write about something else. I went back to a serialized group of short stories that I've worked into a common theme, and it was relieving to be able to just work with fresh ideas.

I worked on my young adult novel.
This is a recording.
Oh...and, I also started writing an agent query letter!
