In retrospect, I definitely recognize your voice in that piece. Congrats on another pro sale and hooray for FFO having a happy story for the holday season!

Now that I think of it, I don't think I told anyone that this was your story. Just goes to show everyone that the process really is anonymous...

Congrats, IB, and thanks for the story. And the art, of course...

Thanks. Not too bad for a guy who isn't a writer, eh? I wonder when I'll reach that mystical zen level of 1st Person Omniscient??? (How long can I get away with the "fever" excuse, Kathleen?)

Hmm. I think you sound well enough now, InarticulateBabbler, that I won't let you get away with a fever excuse any longer.

I'm just glad you're feeling better.

I'm still feeling like crap, but the fever thing doesn't really hit me until after dark. I hope it goes soon, though.

Hmm. So is that fever the "warmed up" you were talking about in the procrastination topic, then?

I have a friend who swears by a hot, HOT bath when a cold comes on. She says that by soaking in a bath as hot as you can stand, you help your body do what it is trying to do with a fever (creating a hostile environment for the germs).

It's worked sometimes for me (and feels pretty good even when it doesn't work), but I wonder if there aren't some germs out there that like it hot.

yeah, when I get home--in about an hour--I've got three fans that won't go to sleep until they get hugs, kisses and a story. Then I can think about other stuff.
