Last week (the 10th) was my one-year anniversary on this forum. I've learned a lot from all of you and hope to learn a lot more. Among the things I have learned:
How to give a critique.
How to accept a critique without feeling the need to explain myself.
That "said" is the best dialog tag.
To cut adverbs ruthlessly (mostly).
To keep trying to write short stories.
To stick to one POV per scene.
And, most important, to have the courage to go ahead and submit my writing and to survive the rejections and keep writing.
So, thank you all.
