Is anyone here a snowboarder? If not I will have to look it up but it would be much easier and quicker if I knew someone who snowboards [Smile]

Working on a story with a beginner snowboard. Something strange happens to him and he has an unique experience.

Anyway, what do boarders call snowboards? Boards? Or do they have a unique name for them. And what is the maneuver called when they swoosh down a hill then go airborne?

"Weeeeeeee!!!!"

said the squirrel. I'd post the youtube link but it comes with some (ahem) adult content.

I know, not really helpful, and I don't Board though I've always wanted to learn, but for some reason this popped into my head when I saw your post. Enjoy!

By adult content do you mean language or activities?

But if anyone here might know what are the boards made of?

Looks like I'm going to have to make a search after all.

I think you'll have to look elsewhere. I know my own personal knowledge of snowboarding comes from being a fan and watcher of the Nickelodeon cartoon "Rocket Power" when that was still on...and, obviously, you need more than that, say, from somebody who's maybe actually done it...

Looks like you're right. Thought, with all the diverse people here, someone would be a snowboarder.

I copied this to Google+ but so far no one there snowboards either.
