I’ve been away a year and a half; now I’m back. Don’t all run away screaming. It’s not that bad. I managed to do a little writing over that time. Now I’m ready to get back into critting and gaining the wisdom of critiques of my own writing after being rid of a few things:

1) Cancer and the organ it afflicted. Recovery from surgery had me idle enough to do most of the writing that got done. All recovered and well now.
2) Daughter married off. No, we didn’t want to be rid of the daughter and we really like her new husband, but the wedding, plans, trip etc. were a big distraction.
3) Job I have finally retired from. (Okay, from which I finally retired.)

I've been here and back before too, and I understand the intermittent writing due to sickness. (Definitely does feel great to get back at it). Welcome back to the forum and best of luck on the writing.
