The thing is, publication has been an ambition for years, and it would never have happened without the encouragement of many folks here, who critiqued loads of my work and helped me to understand a little of the craft of story telling. Thanks one and all (you know who you are) and especially Kathleen for her continued hard work keeping this place one that's so conducive to learning.
You might have noticed that Flash Fiction Online was closed to subs for a while. I want you to know that it's now open again, and that several slush readers were or are contributors to Hatrack. I hope we'll see some of your stories before too long.
Best wishes to all for 2012. Pat

AHHHHHHHHH! Where in the name of absenteeism did you come from? Everyone appears to be reconverging at once...
Anyway, congratusquirrels. I have one that's been in their slushpile for a bit too, as I think do several others so I think seeing others of us there is pretty likely.

Talespinner! Where have you've been? I missed you!
Great sale. I've been carrying on the contests on your behalf. Why don't you check out the latest one in writing challenges?

Talespinner! I've missed you. Congratulations! I read your story this morning, and was certain it was the work of someone I'd read here on Hatrack back in the day, but I didn't have time to check out the bio. I was right! Ha! Congratulations. It was an awesome story.

Merlion, we're clearing the slush pile just as fast as we can. And we're certainly hoping for great stuff from Hatrackers.
Snapper, the Voice from Afar has been watching and is pleased with your contests. Me, I have about three novels waiting to be written, so no contests for the time being for me.
Kathleen, I'm thinking of upgrading to liquid crystals any day now, I really am :-)
Unwritten, you read with unbelievable attention and Robert, it's 'a' for apple and 'i' for India.
If I may, I'll drop in from time to time and get (re)acquainted ...
