This weekend, I received a letter that one of my stories has progressed to the second round at newmyths.com. I should hear back in the coming months on that one.
This morning, I received an acceptance letter from Stupefying Stories for "Two Zombies Walk into a Bar". This will be my first pub to a paying market. I guess I'd better get cracking on that author website.
Will I be sharing the e-ink space in the same issue as Mr. Finger Waggling Wizard Type?
A special thanks to Foste, who critiqued the full manuscript, and to Aaron White, shimiqua, Brendan, Reziac, LDWriter2, Tryndakai, jcavonpark, bemused and Darrin who left me feedback on the first thirteen.

CongratuallmannerofLovecraftianthings. I told you a first sale was right around the corner, didn't ?
The story I definitely sold to Stupefying Stories already appeared back in Dec. However, I have two more under consideration with them, one of which I've queried being past the 60 day mark, so its definitely within the realm of possibility.
And, I have one in the second round at NewMyths also.

Well, the queried story got rejected, but I still have another submission in with them so you never know...

@Merlion, sorry to hear that. Would be so cool to be co-published in the same issue.
I don't know if it'll be possible, but I wanted to see if there was a way I could buy and give away 15-20 copies of the e-anthology.

I'm not sure how that'd work...the giving away...cause I don't understand much about the workings of such things, but I know Bruce Bethke is quite open about stuff and very easy to deal with, so I'm sure you can work out something.
I've asked him about sending the PDF version of my volume he sent me (I don't have an E-reader) to a blogger I found who does reviews of stuff, but I haven't heard back yet.

Yeah, I pitched the idea of buying up a bunch of copies and giving them away on my website, and him co-advertising the offer on the stupefying stories website, and haven't heard back on that, either.

They are pretty busy from what I can tell. They've been getting, I think, a volume of submissions comparable to a major pro market...he also told me, when he rejected the one story, that in August they are launching some sort of all-horror project, possibly an additional e book thingy of some sort that I could submit the same story too then.
