Didn't realize we were posting self-pubbed works. I started putting mine out there in January (Smashwords, Amazon and Barnes & Noble); trying to make it one per month. I'm using a variation on Dean Wesley Smith's Advice on pricing.
I'll Just put the Smashwords links here:
A Dish Best Served: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/144238
B.I.T: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/134102
Business is Business: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/120257
In A Flash: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/120247
Passed Life: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/119685
Figure I'll be putting together a collection in the next couple of months.

07/03/12 - Wish I could change the title - there are 7 stories in this thread (the other 2 are further down)

Now that I've published my first collection, it's time to evaluate my ePublishing.
1) I started the process in January with 3 stories, and then about 1/month since then, so I had 7 stories posted by June 7th on the 3 services.
2) I priced my stories based on word count: 3 at $.99, 2 at $1.99, and 2 at $2.99
3) I've made so little sales, a statistic about the price difference vs. sales is meaningless: I've sold the following quantities / market:
Amazon: 2
PubIt!: 3
Smashwords: 2
Kobo (Canada via Smashwords): 2
(I am behind 1 month on sales figures for the retail partners Smashwords is using)
4) My current royalties are at $6 - a pitiful seeming amount, except it's all the money I've made on my writing, so it's a plus. (FYI - This is $1 more than the $5 I made during my instrumental "career" - my next goal is to pass the $25 I made during my acting "career")
5) I've done no special advertising or promotions - only posted here and my facebook page (and I have almost NO friends :-)
6) Out of my 9 sales, I've had one review (4 out of 5 stars for "Quiet!")
7) An observation - each time I publish something new, traffic (page and sample downloads) increase for ALL my publications

As Dean Wesley Smith (and others) have advised, I'm in it for the long haul. I am trying to maintain the following schedule (and having a schedule DOES help with my output):
- write 10 stories / year
- keep stories circulating to publishers for as long as possible (professional pay scale only)
- ePublish something (a story or collection) every 4 weeks
- publish a collection when either 5 stories or 15,000 words
Just keep plugging away...

Dean has good advice. I wish I had your productivity, NoTime. So far I've made 8 confirmed sales - 3 to Kobo, 1 to Barnes and Noble, 1 to Smashwords, and 3 to Kindle. Kobo shows I've sold more. On their site I have one with two ratings, one with 10 ratings, and one with 8 ratings. Unless its some sort of glitch, I expect my sales report to grow dramatically. We'll see. Still slow going, but I'm having alot of fun, anyway.
