Some of you probably already know but I just noticed that Lightspeed has finally opened to submissions of fantasy as well as science fiction.

I missed that, thanks. Now I have a few I can send in. I was out of SF except for the one at WotF.

It was very frustrating for me, because I rarely if ever write sci fi, so when they closed Fantasy magazine I was down a pro market in the cycle until Lightspeed started taking both. Very annoying.

Hmm, I wondered if you could send in one of each but JJA is so fast it may not matter.
And now that Lightspeed has taken over Fantasy Magazine I wonder if one could buy it or at least the name?

I sent a fantasy today. Funny thing it wasn't the one I wanted to send. For some reason that one would not upload. I tried four times; deleting the old file and doing a new one, changing the title around, even restarted my computer. Nothing. I envisioned that they were received a ton copies of my story. That has happened a couple of times. I keep getting sent back to the send page with an error message but the files were going through anyway. But this time no confirmation E-mails. The second story worked fine, like usual.
I wish I could get a couple of other sells, Adams might partially like another of my stories if I did.

Not sure if I noticed this before but I see that not only do people like us refer to Adams as JJA but so does he refer to himself that way.
Even though that implied thanks for sending us a story that wasn't written well enough still gets to me.

A slushreader at Lightspeed has confirmed "You may submit one SciFi and one Fantasy simultaneously. The slush piles are being handled separately."
