Whoop! I've been checking the Weird Tales website periodically to see whether they're open yet. This is good news.

I was kinda keeping an eye out for them to but I missed it. Need to check them out.
Boy, Fairy Tales sure are making a hit, they are the third themed magazine to use them and some are doing novels on their own. Not to mention some movies with new takes on them-- including "Sleeping Beauty".
May have a couple of flash that are different.
Now if Black Gate would reopen.

LD: There's a Sleeping Beauty movie in the works? I know last year we had "Red Riding Hood" and "Beastly" and I guess there is a Snow White one this year.
Good luck as far as Black Gate reopening. And even when they are open, their response time is absurdly long.

I have one that would be a good fit for what they listed. Where did you see their rates? I must have overlooked it somehow.

Well, they are listed on Duotrope as pro-paying, and that means at least 5 cents a word. I don't think its more than that, because they were semi-pro up to this recent shakeup. They are probably listed on their somewhere...they put stuff in weird places. But I'm pretty sure its 5.

What the heck. I\m still working my way up. Might as well send it there as anywhere. I only have a bit more than two dozen rejections in the pile so far. I have not yet begun to scribble!

They don't want to be listed at ralan.com anymore. Are they listed at Duotrope? Or is it just that the new guy doesn't like Ralan?

They were open to submissions for six days? Wow, they must have gotten bombarded with stories to close that quickly. I have a story to send them, but it's currently on submission elsewhere. I can wait.

Weird Tales has reopened to submissions. It's been almost two months since they were last open and then it was for six days. So if you plan to submit, do it quickly.

Update: The Weird Tales website says they're going to close again June 5. Shortest submission windows ever.
