You know, i don't even think I've ever read a steampunk story much less wrote one. Any recommendations?

THere are others here who know more about steampunk then I do- it's interesting that my spellchecker knows the word-since I am a newcomer to that genre. But here are some I have seen lately.

A bunch of novels with clockwork in the title.

My favorite so far is this one.

There's a video on the side for a second book.


But some were written many years ago. There is a steampunk thread or two in the writing forum or the Gist forum, you may have scroll down a while to find it.

There are a few good steampunk anthologies out there, like this one and this one. One story I read online recently that I liked is one by Carrie Vaughn at Lightspeed.

I might submit to this anthology if I can think of a good story for it.
