I'm trying to find out how to pronounce the Irish word for yellow. I've seen it spelled bui, or buidhe. Thanks!

If the pronunciation guide I found online is accurate, and if your spelling is correct, and if there are no accents...

either "bigh" or "biy." "i" as in "miss." "gh" a gutteral like Scottish "loch" but with a "g" instead. A "y"ish sound on the end.

...and also if I haven't missed a rule of pronunciation somewhere. I don't speak Irish Gaelic.

well you seemed to have gotten pretty darn close for some one who doesn't speak Gaelic.

Thanks Robert, google failed me for pronunciation, at least anything that made sense.

I believe the "bui" version has an accent over the i. Not sure about the buidhe version.
