I did this exercise with my in-person writer's group last night and it was crazy good fun. I took it to my son's second grade class Halloween party and it was even better. Let's see if it translates to an online environment...

Describe a Monster -

Your job is to describe a monster. I started a thread in the Writing Challenges for this, thinking if it took off there could be more than one thread for several *different* monsters.

The way it worked in my in-person group was that everyone started with a piece of paper and a one or two sentence description of a monster. Then we passed our papers to the right and received a new sheet from the person on our left. We read what was written, and added our own sentence or two. Pass and write, pass and write.

So in an online forum, I think we can just build threads with monster descriptions. If you're up for it - check out the thread I started (and start more of your own) in Writing Challenges

Have fun!!
