I discovered these interviews today while trolling the internet (aka procrastinating). I summarily realised that when commuting home from work I'd rather listen to authors on writing than the radio.

Do you have a favorite audio link related to writing?

Yes,

On my sattelite radio there is a channel devoted to writing and books. It's channel 117 and called, conviently, Books.

There is a lot of interviews with authors on it. They sound like the drollest of NPR segments and I tune out immediately. What I prefer is the novels that are read on there. I have been listening to Hemmingway's A Call To Arms, OSC's Shadow of the Giant, and Shadow Puppets, Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, and Hubbard's Orders is Orders. The Outstanding writing is wonderful to listen to. The problem is they repeat there programing over and over.

I did write there offices and suggested that they could fill up some short spans of time by placing some entertaining short stories in their programing (you pay attention Oliverhouse?). I could visualize a score of magazines (with the permission of a few authors hoping to get their names out there) that would be willing to provide material at no charge in return for free advertisement (a plug or two). I saw it as a win-win for everyone.
Unfortunately, I got the standard...
Thank you for your suggestion...Balh,Blah,Blah.
Perhaps they may feel differently if I drop the suggestion again.

Nice! This coming week I predict even less software getting written than usual.
