Purpose: obviously a promotional post, but in the entire triumvirate of marketing, advertising, and public relations, the blog column's got a lot more going on.
Method: story, personal essay, memoir, parable, message, theme, universal, timely, timeless, self-deprecating but noble tenor, boldly vulnerable, emotionally appealing, loss of innocence and coming of age and still coming of age in later life. Admirable.
