It airs at 10am EST, but there will be a recording if you miss it. It is the first time I've ever heard an SFF author interviewed on something as mainstream as NPR.

A point brought up in the article...why do the big-time fantasy writers even care that copies and spoilers leak out in advance of publication? Always seems to me, familiarity with the material lends a certain ease in reading or watching it---Disney is, or used to be, big on sharing its stories before it came time to go and see them. Why not do the same? If I'm going to read a book, I will, whether or not I know "whodunit."

Osiris, you must be close to me... I was at the Burlington Barnes and Noble yesterday frying my butt off all day. Since I was close to the front of the line, I got to go inside to hear George's Q&A and talk before the signing. All in all, a great experience (other than the sunstroke! Ninety something degrees, phew!). THanks for posting this
Oh, yes I know that B&N, I've been there for a meetup.com critique group a few times. I wanted to go to ReaderCon this year, which is also in Burlington, but I just didn't have the time. I used to go to the Burlington Borders all the time (used to live in Arlington), too, until they closed down.
Well, pretty cool to know a fellow Hatracker is in my neck of the woods, anyway
