Yes, it's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.
I've definitely been writing. I finished editing The Nine and then dove head first into Camp NaNo. As of yesterday, I'd put in 12,530 words on my new book, the beginning of a trilogy centring around a surprisingly not-evil Necromancer. Devan and I are having a good time so far.
There were also a few notes made on other ideas and a new fragment that went into my very long list of them. Also, a few blog posts.

Yes, I did. Mostly revisions on "The Music Box". Also a couple of critiques and two blog posts.Posts: 4633 | Registered: Dec 2008

Spent a little time on rewriting, a new draft of an old story. Last draft of it, too, except for nitpicking revisionism, but that comes after.
One semi-odd thing...it's an idea that grew out of an old "future history" I tried to work out, back in the 1980s...I fitted a lot of stories to it over the years...but by the 2000s I decided the chronology was all cocked up, with too many thousands of years happening between events. I needed compression...or better, dropping it altogether. Of course, the idea, the characters and background, all come out of this mess, and have been on my mind for a long time...but I'm just not bringing up just how much time passed since certain events that don't even come up in the narrative...

I haven't wrote a dang thing today. I have a feeling I'll have plenty more time to write soon though.

I wrote about 30,000 words in the last week. Sort of my own NaNoWriMo. 30,000 next week and my draft is finished.

Get well soon man! Glad you got atleast one story idea out of it, maybe it'll be your best gem since it is the only one you can think about at the moment.

Well, I'm glad to see you again, rstegman, as I really was worried, but so very unhappy to see why you were absent. I wish you a speedy recovery. Certainly no need to apologize though. *hugs* Concentrate on recovering and we'll see you when you're up to it.
