Tobias Buckell wrote a piece on this too. He has the graph of all smashwords book you were asking for.

The link Pyre Dynasty posted works for me, using Explorer browser. However, I see a conflict in the url that's problematic for Firefox and similar browsers. The url ends with a forward slash, causing the page not to load.

I found the article and it was awesome in a reality check kind of way. Here is a new link if others like me can't link to it.

ETA: This link doesn't get me there either, at least not all the way. I don't know why. But link to the blog and scroll down. The article is posted on May 27th and is called "Survivorship bias: why 90% of the advice about writing is bull**** right now."

Thanks Pyre Dynasty for the heads up on this. It did have the data I wanted to see. [Smile]

I figured it out, Tobias used a dirty word in his title and the Hatrack is censoring it. You have to delete the stars and type in the offending four letters. Or go to his blog and scroll down a few stories.
