It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.
I made a lot of notes for my next book over the last week, enough that I'm about ready to start outlining it now. I also finished the mark up for the first revisions of a novella, Second Thoughts, which is a prequel to my first novel. I'll be making those changes this week and probably move on to the next thing in my very very long list of things that need revising. *side eyes small mountain of manuscripts*
I have two short stories I need to write and whip into shape by early June. The good news is that I wrote the first draft of one of them last night, 3k words. That's going into the drawer and my hope is to at least get halfway through the first draft of the second (which can be up to 5k) tonight. Obviously they both need time to sit before revisions, so they need to get done like asap.
There were a few new story ideas that came from various places. I mean, why would I want them to come in at the same pace I can write them? I like having a mountain of those too. I think.
And finally, I've been putting up a series of blog posts this week, a short story of mine that, at 7k, is a bit too long to put in a single post. So I broke it into four posts, plus an introduction. They can be found on my blog here.
That's it for me I think. How about you? Did you write?

After my notorious computer problems that I've been whining about for the last two weeks, I'm proud to say I did do some writing this week. I downloaded something that had a word processing program on it on Friday, and on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday I managed five hundred words a day.
I'm not that crazy about the story---remember, way back when, it was just something to jumpstart my writing, rather than some serious attempt---but I'm plowing on. I may break off and start revising something in my files that I like better.
