No one put one of these up this week.

The purpose of these notes is to allow you to brag about writing accomplishments and cry about writing failures and otherwise tell about what is going on in your life.

It is great to look back at how your work developed over time and having to post regularly forces you to open something and type so you can report.

My writing time is sporadic at best. It is not uncommon to go weeks without having a chance to write in any way other than blog posts (which can count as writing).

I have three stories in progress. I am working on one that is nearly done. I had to cut about two thousand words off the work and yesterday, finally got it within a thousand words of what the publisher will accept. Now, I have to go through and clean up the debris caused by my editing. I will use some grammar checks but my main method will be reading out loud for where I trip up in the first reading.

The other two works are on hold for this second. One needs a partial rewrite and is fighting me and the other needs to be expanded and have the REASON IT IS HAPPENING added to the story.

I found I have a tendency of hiding things to sneak up on it. That really does not work and both unfinished stories suffer from that.

Well, first off, welcome back, and second-off, no, nothing this week. Those who follow these things might be aware that I'm coming off a repiping job on my house---the most difficult thing I've ever had to have done to my house---and I guess that tired me out more than I thought. Also as the week progressed, my spare time filled up---mowing-the-lawn-to-beat-the-rains on Saturday, a union meeting on Sunday---and I got tied up with that.

Also, I guess, I've entered a somewhat fallow period while the novel I was working on evolves in my mind---but nothing gets written down. When I'm in a prolific period, I manage to turn out something nearly every day, even when busy. But not now.

I hope for a little clearup as I have an impending vacation starting next week---plenty of free time---so I should be able to write something at some point...

Some. Not as much as I would like. My Weird Oz Story just isn't developing the way I'd like. I'm looking at my options. I may have to *gasp* outline it.

Also a couple of crits and two blog posts.

I did some, working on three stories, and a tiny bit on a novel.

Also some posts here, on G+ and the WotF forum.

And maybe here http://musingsofle.blogspot.com

Can't remember if the two new posts were for last week or the week before.

I can't believe I just keep skipping over time. Seems like yesterday i was here just trying to sort out ideas I had over my life time. Now I'm half way through book three. book one done to 3rd draft and in the editors hands to fix all the grammar mistakes I couldn't see. And some restructures of paragraphs, but so far the test readers including the editor love the book.

Book two in the series I just barely gave to my first reader. Its in second draft, and 3rd draft pending.

Book three. about the seventh chapter, but slower in development as I want best strongest finish to the series. Though I'm being pushed to make it longer than just a three part series.

I still need titles for book two and three.

I wanted to post here while I was writing but somethings--ideas you have to protect.

I feel like I haven't slept for six months. I have a routine now. every morning I wake up 6 am and start writing to some point in the day before I go to my night jobs. I put relations and tv and even most internet on hold and solely focus on writing in the small town I moved to from a Big city. Amazing what you can get done without all the distractions.

Figured I'd stop in and say hi before I through myself into those final chapters.

Amidst my foreign travels I finished a new short (yes, actually short), part of which became a collaboration story with our good pro-published Nick T (for which I feel honored). Great writer and great guy.

Ultimately had to de-sex an older story to have something for Q4 2013 WOTF (I think it lessens the tale, but this is a long shot anyway).

Returned to completing another novelette for Q1 2014 which I think may do better, going back to my strengths. Hope to finish it this week.

New work schedule the next 3 months I hope will permit me to work on a number of projects in production.

I should really consider getting a website up sometime.

Respectfully,
Dr. Bob
