It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.
I've been fleshing out my notes and ideas for the final book in the trilogy I've been writing this year, Spire of Time. Since I was also in the middle of moving during that time and work blew up on me (figuratively), I'm content with this, which is good, since I didn't get anything else done. Oh well. It's better than nothing.
That's it for me. How about you? Did you write?

PS-Sorry about missing last week's post. The whole week was pure insanity.

Yes, I wrote. Mostly (and very slowly for me) on my Weird Oz Story. Also a little bit of revision based on beta readers for MAGIC AND POWER (probably to be retitled DESERT ROSE).

Ahh! Why must it be so hard to choose between two stories? . I did write, however little...stupid lab reports. I really miss being here sometimes. Oh, Nano's coming up and I have to think about that too....oops.

I did a wee bit of plotting and a tad of character development. It's hard to find time nowadays though.

Yes I did. Two thousand words, spread over three sessions and three days.
And I'm off! Meaning my vacation started yesterday. Three weeks and change. I'll be going away for a couple days in a couple days, but in between and after, I should be able to write-write-write (in between and after other things.)

I wrote a little. I revised my opening, bringing a primary relationship and conflict into better focus. I did some more outlining - sorting and sifting scene snippets both old and new. Then some essential details on causes and motivation started to gel. And I wrote them down. This seems to happen about 1 AM most of the time. That's alright because it was a much needed boost. I finally have the sense that my MC and mentor and one other character would do nothing other than what they are doing, especially my MC.

I finished my latest work in progress, a sequel, and sent it to my first reader. The whole beginning, which tagged the ending of the first story, has to go. That will bring it well within the proper word count. She will have to read more of the story to see where it should start. I read some notes on another story I had gotten back from the editor, which requires a complete rewrite of the beginning, along with more explanation of why things are going on. Got no farther than that.

Wasn't as successful this week... only a few thousand words on my novel. Life sort of got in the way.

Some that is. Worked a bit on a novel-started a steampunk flash even though it will probably end up being between 1300 and 1500.
Worked some on two other stories.
Nothing on my blog this week but I placed a longer post on G+ dealing with something political. Plus other posts here and there and on the WOTF forum.
