It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

I finished and revised my short story. After that, I started in on the final copy edits to The Nine, which is the final book in my Mirrors of Bershan trilogy. Need to get my butt in gear on that, since the release date is January 13th.

I also made notes on two different novels I need to rebuild based on reader feedback and both are starting to come together nicely.

That's it for me. How about you? Did you write?

Yes, I wrote. I've been concentrating on the rewrite of THE SHAMAN'S CURSE and making good progress.

Also, a few crits and two blog posts.

Another washout week, my spare time being taken up with Christmas, mostly. I'm hopeful for the coming week, though.

Besides, I may have written myself into a corner. I'm thinking of making up some kind of outline, starting over from scratch, and pasting this or that into it as I go along. But that'll take more time than what I have right now...maybe more energy, too...

Yep I did.

All on short stories. That includes my Q1 story--now I need to read over the crits of my last two WotF entries to see what I did wrong and fix those problems in this story-I also worked on the third tale in my Steampunk Special Ops series. Next two will be a lot shorter-I hope-and more about the personal live of my MC.

And last night I did a 100 word story based on a certain picture. I added another 68 words later and I think I will add a few more for setting. Anyone else who reads it won't be able to see the picture.

Various Notes on this forum, the WotF forum and Google+

Chances of writing will be sparse until after Christmas. I am painting my Christmas cards and am getting things ready to wrap up.

I opened one work in progress for a short time early in the week but had little production.

I am working on two stories, while I really should be working on two other stories.

Robert:
Do sort of my story idea method to explore the problem. What you do is tell what the story is about, giving details where it is needed and note the scenes where it is not needed. You should be able to tell the whole story in three pages and might only take an hour. it will give you a chance to see where the story is really going, and if your first attempt fails, it does not take long to try again and change the path. This can become your outline when done.
