This is an excuse to brag about your accomplishments, cry about your failures, and otherwise tell about what is going on.

This is also a kick start for writing. If you post here, you will have to tell about your writing activities or come up with valid excuses for not writing. It is sometimes easier to write than come up with an excuse for not writing.

As to what is writing, it can be anything as long as YOU consider it writing. Editing, blogging, outlining, bulletin boarding and of course are writing, but other things can be writing such as E-mails as long as they are wordy and pertain to writing.

I have dabbled a little bit on writing this past week, but not much. I started re-writing a piece from scratch, but since I was on my laptop which has a new operating system, I ran into a problem of switching between files to cut and paste.

My main computer is feathers, I mean down... I have a computer geek to look at it to figure out what is causing it. From my description of what was happening, it was not something he had run across. I am on a secondary computer and working through flash cards. It would be nice if I could remember where I put a flashcard with a recent back up on it. I am missing the last change on another story I was working on.

I may or might not be able to write during this week. I spent the past few weeks hand painting Christmas cards and finishing Crochet scarves. Yesterday I remembered I have a group that I meed with that never got cards or presents. I have to finish another scarf and paint some more cards for them. Luckily, I have a week to do that as we don't meet this week.

So as to the question of the week, yes I did write. I hope to write this week also.

It's yet another washout week for me...Christmas, and decompressing from Christmas, ate up my time. And I had to work my scheduled holiday for New Year's on Monday for a five day work week (while others get to enjoy a four day work week).

I've got a shot at some free time...though my actual January 1st day will have a great deal of time that morning eaten up by assorted every-three-months first-of-the-year household tasks I set myself...but I hope to add something to my current project to end this year on a better writing note than the rest of the month has indicated...

Yes, I wrote, but probably not quite as much as usual. I finished a next-to-last pass through THE SHAMAN'S CURSE and worked on the blurb for THE BARD'S GIFT, mostly.

Also, a full-novel crit and two blog posts.

Should'a mentioned...some literary effort expended in grievance statements, directed towards that working-on-my-holiday thing. But that's easy to do, though something of a chore to have to do...

I worked on the outline for my next novel after finishing the revisions on The Nine. I also had a couple more story ideas come up, and a few notes made on existing stuff.

I found the back up flash card. I found it in the washing machine as I was taking the clean clothing out.

It still works. Until I get my main computer back, or the hard drive in another computer, I will have lost two sessions of writing on one story.
