Another time to brag about your accomplishments, cry about your failures, and otherwise tell about what is going on in your life.
We are lose with our definitions of what is writing. It is new writing, of course, but also editing, blogging, BBS posts, research, Even E-mails can be writing if they are wordy and pertain to story or writing. If YOU think it is writing, it is.
AS for me, the answer is no. I lost control of my schedule and no longer have those little bits of opening times to write. it does not look like it will change anytime soon either. Long ago, I learned that I could accumulate spare time over several days by getting things done until my writing could become more important than what was needing to be done. Because of my schedule, I no longer have those times.
I am getting close to finishing some Christmas ornaments. If I have a good weekend this weekend, I can finish them in time. I have four designs and try to have a dozen of each. A couple designs are very close, a few others are way behind.
I have other projects and realize now that I won't have time to work on them to have them ready for Christmas. I need to order a bunch of my FINDING WAXY books for presents. I have not really had time to even do that. Consider how much more time I need to actually write something else.

Would that I could've, but I just couldn't bring myself to. Since the end of September, through a three-week vacation in October, down to today, writing has been minimal at best. I've tried a couple of jump-starts, but to little effect.
All the more frustrating, because I have about fifty thousand rough-draft words of a novel that just needs a concluding chapter...plus a polished story that just needs some reworking on the end. Sooner or later, sooner or later...

Yes. Here comes the sun. Applying all I've learned from years of writing study is as challenging as writing blind was before, though much more directed and, hopefully, more efficient and productive.

Yes. Masters classes have me banging out around five thousand words per month in research papers. Over that I critique classmates; another twelve (12) thousand words per month. I also critique Critters manuscripts, but that's dropped off to one per week (Classes have crimped my crits here, too.)
I continue to write entries for WotF. A win there will be enough of a confidence boost to seek publication elsewhere.
A couple of times in the last month, I've had very little time for creative writing. My special formula for times like that is a document I've titled, 'Write a Description.' I pick a subject: flora or fauna for a Sci-Fi planet, setting, character study, moral dilemma, news, science; one time I wrote a random piece deliberately omitting "the" (Not so easy). Then I write fifty or a hundred words. It's all first draft, top of my head musing, but I like to think it keeps the creative knife sharp. I've even used some of it.

Yeah. Its been a while since I could say that. But this month has been good 21,000 words and counting. With about 6k coming this week.

Glad to see someone else mentioning NaNoWriMo. I just completed my first NaNoWriMo, and wrote my way across the finish line into the winner's circle at over 53,000 words this month. I estimate this is only about half of what is needed, although I already had 15,000 words before this month began (didn't count them for the month's total). I am feeling elated, at having met the challenge, but have months of editing to do. But at least I now have something to work with! And I did it, even with a full time job and unexpected delays, and that's encouraging.
