Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group (NSG). Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

What were your goals last week and did you accomplish them?
Describe what you worked on.
Set goals for next week.
Did you learn something during this week?

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Writing on a novel
Characterization
World Building
Relevant research

As for me:

Last Week's Goals:

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS): I was lucky enough to nab a mentor for this in Pitch Wars.
Nothing yet. I wasn't really expecting it. [Smile]

BLOOD WILL TELL: Work on general marketing topics.
Um, yeah. I at least attended a novel marketing webinar. That counts. [Smile]

BLOOD IS THICKER: Let it cool a bit before going back for the next round.
Easy one. [Smile]

THE BARD'S GIFT: One minor adjustment and then wait for reader feedback.
Unless I think of something else, it's ready to go. [Smile]

MAGE STORM: Start on some of the revisions.
Yes. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Revisions to a couple of short stories that have been left hanging for months.

Decide which novel idea is going to be my next first-draft project.

Um. Yes to the first two, but I haven't picked from among my ideas for the next novel yet. [Smile]

Next Week's Goals:

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS):
Waiting for feedback.

BLOOD WILL TELL:
Continue working on figuring out marketing.

BLOOD IS THICKER:
Let it cool a bit before going back for the next round.

THE BARD'S GIFT:
Nothing this week.

MAGE STORM:
Continue with the revisions on the first few chapters.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Work on revisions to my WotF HM story for resubmission.

Decide which novel idea is going to be my next first-draft project.

A bit late here but so is everyone else it seems.

Anyway, I worked on "His Other Job" my NaNo novel. Finished the epilogue, unless I said that already in which case I finished it last week. And almost finished one of two added chapters.

If I take Friday off like I want to I will work on the other new chapter. Should be a short one.

Anyway, that's it on novels.

Well, finished the first run of the first draft of my WotF entry for Q2 (2900 words) and did a bit more posting here than I ever intended to do.

Phil.
