As for me:

Last Week's Goals:

MAGE STORM: Think about what else I could do with this story.
Not much thinking so far. [Frown]

THE SHAMAN'S CURSE/THE VOICE OF PROPHECY: Start thinking about promotions surrounding the release of BEYOND THE PROPHECY.
Nope. Somewhere between Smashwords and PayPal, my Fall promotion budget went missing. Still waiting for them to figure out what happened. This is why I hate PayPal. [Frown] [Eek!] [Mad] [Confused]

BEYOND THE PROPHECY: Format the print version. Start planning promotions surrounding the release.
Print version, yes. Promotions, not so much. See above. I do have a couple of blog spotlights lined up. [Frown]

MAGIC'S WARRIOR (temporary working title of DUAL MAGICS Book 4):
Get back into this one by reading the chapters already completed.
Finished the read through. Actually got a couple of new paragraphs written. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Yes. [Smile]

Next Week's Goals:

MAGE STORM:
Think about what else I could do with this story.

THE SHAMAN'S CURSE/THE VOICE OF PROPHECY:
Setting up promotions on hold. See above.

BEYOND THE PROPHECY:
Promotions on hold. See above.

MAGIC'S WARRIOR (temporary working title of DUAL MAGICS Book 4):
Build up momentum on the first draft.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

I can happily report progress in my prewriting! [Smile] I've got the protagonist, the antagonist, and a list of major and minor characters. To be fair, I already had part of this list from months ago, but I'm expanding on it and putting more detail into it.

I already had my major themes for the story as a whole, but I wasn't grounded on the particulars of the plot; I've started to narrow my focus down to the point where I can figure that out. I was originally thinking of the story having an ensemble cast, but I realized it will be easier to narrow down plotlines if I focus on one particular character (the aforementioned protagonist) and work things out from there. Just because I have a lively cast of characters doesn't mean I need to focus on all of them all the time. This story has serious potential to become a series of novels and short stories, which means that even if a character doesn't get focused on in the first book their story can always become important later on.

Well, the fires of inspiration have died to mere embers and Fred seems to have wandered off into the woods for the moment. In previous times this might have worried me, but not today.

I have had other things on my mind--possibly a fine opportunity will be set before my table, or a poisoned chalice. That's sort of kept my mind occupied. Also, I think Fred is a little miffed I call him Fred; that's Damon's name for him and I need one of my own.

I feel he has an Irishman's talent for tall tales so: I hereby dub thee--Seamus. Now, get your backside into gear, Seamus, and get me back on track.

Phil.
