I didn’t end up writing five days, but I did end up writing. I have all of next week off, which is exciting because I've been awaiting this stay-at-home vacation for quite awhile. I plan to write for a large portion of the day Monday through Thursday (ideally, for the rough equivalent of one of my shifts at work, which would give me plenty of time to make progress). Then I have family stuff over the weekend.

I worked on the revision of the Courier.

And the Journey of Mystery. On that one I decided to go back to chapter one and try to make references to events that show what time period we are talking about. I figure somewhere in the very late 1700s or early 1800s-maybe even middle 1800s. But it is an alt world so the times don't have to be exactly like the real Earth.

And I need to decide if I want a US in it. It would be much smaller but still there could be one. I am using one of the first 13 states so it would be too much of a push to get maybe 15 states. Maine is out as is the state next to it. New York would be the furthest state in that direction. Right next to the New Hampshire Empire. Which I have established already. There is no New Mexico or Col, probably no Texas either. That area is where my MC is from.

Texas didn't join the United States until 1845, although it existed as the Republic of Texas for about ten years before that. Before that, it was controlled by Mexico, and before that it was controlled by Spain. (Texas has a rich and varied history. I lived there for awhile, and it interested me.)

Thanks.

That could be within my time range. I kinda of thought of the story taking place a lot earlier but the tech that is just spouting up in that world didn't come around until later in the real world, as I believe I said last time.
