I've been interested in writing for the last year or so. I've read a lot about writing in that time and written a little. I have ~20k words of a political thriller that I put on hold to write fantasy/SF. I've written one short story and am starting another. I write slowly.
Other than writing I love my family, technology, the outdoors and smoking meat.

I've never heard of using rolling paper for smoking (meat). I just soak wood chips in water and toss them on the coals.

But you do use rolling paper to smoke tobacco (and other herbs).
I should warn you that I'm a satirist by writing trade, always ready to drop comedy trou if it'll get a laugh. You should assume anything I say is intentionally silly, unless it doesn't seem silly to you at all.

I'm a bit late as usual but by thou welcome.
As you probably know we are a friendly bunch, and some of us know a thing or three about writing which we don't mind sharing.
And you could always do a SF political thriller. Or even a fantasy one...now that could be interesting.
As you explore the treehouse do be careful, there's this unicorn that wonder about and she can be mean at times or snarky or a pest.
