Hi, I’m Sandy. I’ve had more stories in my head than I’ve had logical thoughts, but only for my amusement. I want to stop daydreaming and turn them into electronic 0’s and 1’s. It’s a challenge; my learning curve is dauntingly steep. I posted the first chapter of my speculative fiction novel on another website. Receiving essentially the same constructive criticism from four kind souls submitting critiques, I realized I needed to take an online story-structuring course. I’m halfway through, now. I heard about this website and decided to sign up. Seems like a lot of fun.

Welcome there.

We are friendly people who know one or three things about writing and don't mind sharing. So as Grumpy said Jump in.

However as you land in the treehouse be careful. There are strange lights about, and doors that led elsewhere and even change where they lead. A few unusual beasties and people too.

Well, Sandy, there's no substitute for doing, but learning how to follow the rules successfully is useful. Then after you've finished with that, learn how to break the rules successfully.

Thank you all for your warm welcome. LDWriter2, thank you for the warning, I know there's a unicorn about. However, I'm writing my paardaile, Rika, a beautiful Pinto twenty hands high at the withers; huge, well-defined and strong chest, back, front legs and stomach muscles powering wings spanning twelve feet, and with nicely pointed upper and lower canines.

MattLeo, thanks, I promise to break the rules after my first published novel following them!
