Hello to all writers out there who have typed until their heads hurt and their back ached. Hello also to writers who only write a few sentences a day as they pray for inspiration to write more. As so many here, I love to write. I love my book and I love going through the hum-drum of getting my book published. I'm still looking for an agent who is willing to take me on. Even as I get rejection letters that fire to write and tell my story burns hotter. I never thought writing would be something I would want to do. When I was in high school I loved writing essays. I loved the research. I also loved that if I was to lazy to do ALL the research I was able to string words together in such a way that my teachers didn't notice my lack of knowledge. What inspired me to start writing was a poorly written book. This book, which shall not be named for fear of offending many people, frustrated me. I felt that I could write a better book than this, that people including myself deserve to have better books. So I wrote one. I realize this sounds pompous and I don't mean it too. What I do mean is that you, we as writers, have to believe in our work before anyone else. We have to believe our story can make it and deserves to be read. If we don't then what's the point of writing? I love my characters and the world I've made for them. The best advice I could give to any writer published or not would be to read Steven King's book 'A Memoir of the Craft.' This book saved my story and made me realize that I'm not crazy, I'm a writer.

I don't think Meredith meant it that way but she's right welcome to the we ain't crazy, we're writers club. Well, that doesn't mean we aren't also crazy.
But in either case you can learn a lot here and we don't mind sharing.
However do be careful as you wonder the treehouse There's this unicorn and she thinks(Turns head to look to the right and left--whispers) we are all Nutty.
