......that I might not be around much for a few weeks.

I'm afraid overtime has hit hard where I work, and it's mandatory. Don't get me wrong. The money is great, but the hours are trying to kill me off. I do have some free time everyday, but I've been using it to work on my stories. I'm so close to having HIGH DIVER ready for readers. So, maybe in another few weeks you folks will be seeing it in the "Feedback & Fragments" section.

I hope any new members will be patient with me, since I might not be there to give the grand tour of the Hatrack treehouse for awhile. I will start doing that, again, once my work hours return to normal.

I'll check in when I can and see what's happening. So take care everyone.

Crystal, I'm also having to cut back in my involvement here as you've probably noticed by my absence in the Introduction area. The end of the year brings numerous reports, treatment plans, and quarterlies. My little vacation backed me up a week on my normal paperwork, and now I've just caught up to my present responsibilities. Hopefully, I'll see you around back in the treehouse sometime after the new year.

Don't worry, me and Patrick James will look over that treehouse of yours while your gone.
This place is drafty, your candles just don't put out the heat, you know. Fortunately, PJ brought a can of gas. Let's see, we'll pour some in this coffee can and...

Oh my! Roll on the floor, PJ! Damn it! Where is the fire extinguisher?

LoL, you calling him "PJ" makes me think of the Disney Cartoon Robin Hood. Ol' P.J. -- now I can't get that damned theme song out of my head...

Torture yourself for free at this site

(That should satisfy the obligatory copryrights question.)

I've learned to work around the work hours that are slowly killing me---nothing like eight hours a day (a) in the middle of the night and (b) on your feet the entire time, to (c) completely drain you. But December is the busy season, so I might drop from sight, but probably for no more than a day or two.

(Wasn't that song by Roger Miller? I remember he wrote something for the movie, but not if he wrote that one...)

Obligatory question about permission to post lyrics, InarticulateBabbler.

Edited to add: Thank you, InarticulateBabbler.

Didn't a short bit of one of those songs pop up as the music for that "Hampster Dance" website that was all the rage a few years ago?
