Just did a search for this on google "i want to talk to british writers but not on facebook"

The first hit is about contemporary African literature. Fair enough, "literature-writers", but it's not really what I asked for. Isn't it about time that search sites started giving us what we are looking for?

On a less rhetorical note, how often do you find yourself shouting at the monitor when researching?

Incidentally, if you are British you can contact me via my website (www.pdblake.com) which has nothing to do with writing, but if you are researching about growing your own and brewing then, step this way P

Your search didn't give any real weighting to what you really meant. "to" and "on" are pointless words in search queries.

Try something like
British writers group forum interaction

I try to encourage people to put the stuff that doesn't have all that much to do with writing as writing in the Grist for the Mill area.

Want me to move this there?

Sure KDW.

tchernabyelo: I tried that search and all I found was one forum and they wanted to charge £20 to join, per year

There don't seem to be many UK based forums about. I'm a member over at SFFWorld, and they seem to have quite a few UK members though. I might try there on a night time when you lot are all in bed
