If you've followed the news for the past year you'll find this amusing.

Thanks

I haven't read Dave since he quit doing a weekly column a few years ago.

Nice to know he hasn't lost it.

Wonder how his children are doing.

I was sad, back then, when he announced a separation from his wife. They had gone through tornadoes, growing kids-I'm being redundant- etc together .

I think the TEA party should use quotes from him about the Health care bill

Dave Barry has been one of my favorite comedic writers since I was a kid. So far I don't think I've seen a single thing from him that I haven't loved. I didn't realize he still does the Year in Review, but I'm glad, even if he retired from his weekly column after a good long run.

Look forward to reading this one, thanks for linking.

Thank you so much for that. It was hilarious. Was going to quote my favorite line but I have two that I just had to share.

quote:
...concern over the direction of the U.S. economy deepens when Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, in what some economists see as a sign of pessimism, applies for Canadian citizenship.

Why didn't I think of that?

quote:
International tension continues to mount in...

DECEMBER

...with the continued release by Wikileaks of classified cables leaked from the State Department, which apparently has the same level of data security as an Etch-a-Sketch.

Which sounds very accurate.

I, unfortunately, read his piece near midnight and woke my wife with my howling laughter. She was not amused. But I certainly was.
