So as some of you may know from other forums, I am running a new magazine. We're preparing our first issue, and we have some extra advertising space open right now.

Since Hatrackers did so much for me in terms of building my confidence and my writing, I want to pay it forward.

So, I want to give you each a chance for FREE advertising in the magazine.

For now, one book per Hatracker. (Novel or Novella are fine)

Send me a link to purchase it (on Amazon preferably)

I am especially interest in self published because you guys often don't get advertising chances like this.

Send me your Hatrack handle too (so I know who you are [Smile] )

I'll design the ad for you, but I will need a copy of the cover art. I won't need it right away, and will send you details on that if your interested in an ad.

There is a limited amount of space so I will do it on a first come first serve basis. The sizes will be fair for everyone.
100% free no catches or anything. Just thought a few of you might want some free promotion.

email me at: richard.floresiv@plasmafrequencymagazine.com

A little about the magazine:

Issue 1 will Feature 9 short stories, a book review, and three artists. (Cover art has been revealed on the twitter page @plasmafrequency). We currently have subscribers in print and electronic forms from around the world. Issue 1 will be released August 5, 2012.

I could have missed something even though I read it twice but what's the deadline? Obviously before Aug but how long before?

And does it apply only to the first edition? Even if I get my book revised by the end of the month, I would still need to get a pro copy editor to go over it. I think you have read some of my stories so you should understand why with all the nitpicks in them. In other words more than likely it won't be ready to place on line by Aug.

So no short stories then?

Well, I had expected a lot of people to respond and thought I wouldn't need to put a deadline. The issue goes to print at the end of the month. So, I am hoping to start designing ads this week (wed and thur).

As far as on future editions, I don't know yet.

I didn't suspect many people were selling their short stories on Amazon, ect. But short story collections or even short stories you are selling would be fine.

I am just trying to help my Fellow Hatrackers out while I have space open. Since many of us self publish, advertising our works can be really hard.

I have to clarify that line. Even if you are not self pubing, you can take up this offer.

I appreciate the offer even though I am way behind on revising my novels. According to my own deadline I should be able to take advantage of your great offer but spent too much time on other projects with some playing around.

If everything goes as planned I might be able to have an e-book ready to go in two to four months. Depending on two factors; how long a pro copy editor takes to look it over and me.

I miss way too many nitpicks to try to do that part myself. Of course a non pro who is good at finding mistakes and can go over my manuscript in a month or less would be good too. I'm not so interested in making the writing better unless something doesn't make sense but just in cleaning up the nitpicks.

Also if I could find that pic of a space station I can use for free I do have one story ready to e-publish. Or one of a two faced man.

LD, Do you have an editor in mind? Robert Wilson is editing my novel. I'll get it back Mid July.

Not specifically, there are three--not sure if Wilson is one of them--I favorited that I need to go back and check out. They all have different price lists.

But then there is the money. I may use my workshop savings or try Kickstarter. It depends on exactly how much and who I pick to do a cover for me. My art ability is way down there so I need that too.

I've seen a lot of people use Kickstarter with success. When I get my comments back from Robert, I'll let you know what I thought.

For cover art check this guy out. His name is Neil Jackson. He doesn't update his FB page much but you can see what he does. He has some covers already made (but unused) that he will sell. Or he can make you one. He is making me one. His prices are beyond reasonable. Here is a link: web page

Check out the Photos section.

Looks like I have to join Facebook to get on.

So he may not be the guy I was thinking of. I did check one cover artist who had some covers for sell but they were all words, some looked nice and some genres seem to do good with that type of cover, but I would like a drawing like most SF and Fantasy have.

But if I can get on Neil's page I will look him over.
