The dark figure regards you silently from the corner of the room, looking out of place in this dump of a tavern in the canal district of Stormwind. His sunken eyes are black as wells within an emaciated face. He is short, perhaps still on the cusp of manhood or perhaps his growth stunted by deprivation. As if to confirm the latter his figure is gaunt, mostly concealed by a ragged dark cloak that once might have been fine.

Something compels you closer, but at the same time repels you. The shadows seem to bunch around this man, hiding within them a power like nothing you have felt before. You know instinctively he is dangerous. And within the black pools of his eyes there is endless depth with no hint of a soul.

As you stand before him he continues to regard you, saying nothing, his silence almost as oppressive as the shadows which surround him. You are now faced with a choice, to sate your curiosity or to flee as wisdom suggests. He is the one you have come to find, who bears the story of two worlds and three enemies, but you wonder if his tale is worth enduring that black gaze.

Hi. Who are you? You’ve got all this dark mysteriousness going for you, but really, who are you?

A nervous man with a high collar approaches the table, "Mr. Thanarak? ya hi. I'm Squiddly from the T-t-trisystem T-t-tribune." The reporter fumbles with his hand-held terminal. "We need to know a little more about you. You know. So we can run the story? May I sit down?" He retracts his neck into his collar like a turtle, his hands shake a little.
