Il'd LOVE someone to read it all (12,000 words) and not solely judge it on the beginning (which has been done somewhat hastily).

It is a Sci-Fi story, some humour, no gore sex or swearing, plenty of emotions, and I hope enjoyable to read. Any takers? Please?

Mk4:Jim Clarkson skilfully landed his ship on the Lower Plane and announced “Welcome to Paxon!” as he hit the door-release. He watched the Landing Party disembark and make their way to the waiting speeder. It set-off towards the Local Ministry and Jim couldn’t help thinking "... and good riddance!”
“Yet another perfect landing” he thought and sighed. Clarkson had been Top Cadet at Deep Space Flight School until the War started. Then anyone who could fly was transferred to combat or freighter missions and all thoughts of exploring Deep Space were dropped from the political agenda. “Boy I miss those days at Flight School and the laughs we had! Now I’m stuck with this load of idiots running a taxi service for the Ministry.”
