Here is the start for my entry to that "crazy bacon anthology". Just want to know what you think. By the way, I am going for humor. Wouldn't mind a few readers when it's finished.

“Hey Butch, check this out,” Sam said as he came in the back door, rolling his latest invention behind him. The front wheels of the converted hotdog cart bumped and rattled over the threshold. Then the umbrella got caught in the doorway. Sam leaned over and wrestled with it and cursed a few times before finally getting it down. He shrugged and grinned as he pulled the cart into the middle of the butcher shop.
Butch stepped away from the chops he was cutting and looked with amazement at the contraption his friend had rolled in. The top was a series of rollers, upon rollers with large gears and a long hand crank. The sides were painted in bright red and yellow with explosive lettering, “World’s Best Bacon,” it screamed. As it is planned, my story has little to no gore. It's more of a fifties, black and white horror movie sensibility. I hope that still works for this anthology.

Like I said, I'm no good at comedy, and I'm not sure it'd be possible to write a serious (as in straight, non-comedic or tongue in cheek) horror story about bacon. Should be interesting to see where this goes however.
