okay, i delayed posting this because i couldn't quite believe it would happen (yes, i'm that much of a pessimist!). anyway, one of my stories has been published in issue 4 of our very own Adam's (aka baduizt) journal Polluto. this is the first (and only, to date) story i've ever submitted (discounting WotF) so i'm taking it as an encouraging sign. or perhaps a kick in the pants.
