I just found out my sci-fi western "Cowboy Jake and the Moon Men" will be published in issue #5 of Science Fiction Trails. It's my first sale, so I'm on Cloud Nine.

Hey! Hey! Ain't the first sale great?

Did I read that one? Sounds familiar. Must have just read the 13 line intro. Anyway, how does it feel to be a published writer?

Snapper, I don't know whether you read it. I posted Cowboy Jake to a ready-for-market challenge in the early part of this year. And, techincally, it won't be published until February, but it does feel good. Until now, the only boosts my confidence have received were WOTF honorable mentions. This makes me feel like maybe I'm not wasting my time in submitting my work.
