Howdy, I have an article on the flash fiction market coming up in Writer's Digest in the InkWell column, edited by Zac Petit. The date has not been set firmly, but could be October or December.

I also have a story in Norilana Books' Warrior Wisewoman 3 anthology, due out in August. That story is entitled "Mater Luna." It's a lunar colonization/dystopian story.

Cheers.

Thanks, again. Publishers Weekly has briefly reviewed various upcoming fiction titles, including Warrior Wisewoman 3, due in Aug. My story is mentioned.

Norilana Press's Warrior Wisewoman 3 anthology is now available at Amazon and B&N. Links to those sites and to the cover spread are here:

Some of the links to non-US outlets may not work for a few days. I suggest that you buy 10 copies .

My flash fiction article made it into the Nov./Dec. issue of Writer's Digest (pp 12-13). It's a tiny article, but has quotes from Jake of Flash Fiction Online and uber-author/editor/publisher Mike Resnick.

(Warrior Wisewoman 3 was published a couple of months ago.)

Mine in WW 3 was a rejected for WW 2. That rejection included an invitation to resub for 3. In the meantime, I shortened it by about a third, which always improves my stories.

Mine only got one to two sentence criticisms. Actually, I'm not sure if one story even got that.

But I have been told, by a pro writer-editor, that new writers almost always put too much in their stories. The stories need a good tightening. And in some cases they need to start the story two pages later.

Obviously you are doing something right even if you do need tightening.
