Hey folks.

My first sale (complete with new title) is now up at AE - The Canadian Science Fiction Review.

Thanks again everyone for your help, especially Shimiqua and WouldBe for critiquing the draft.

Congratulations! I enjoyed it very much. You did an excellent job of slipping in details to set the scene and mood, and I really like your style.

Nice story--nice sale. Well done! I don't know what a Canadian dollar is worth, but 6 cents sounds like a pro-rate. Is it?

Thanks everyone!

@skadder: CDN and USD are have been about at par for the past few years. At today's exchange rate it's exactly 6.16 cents a word US. So, yeah, pro-rate

Finally got to reading your story.

Niiice.

Not a bad story either but you knew that after all you were paid pro rates. 6.6 cents ain't bad even in Canadian.

Congrats

With a title like, "Aliens, eh?" I'm not surprised it got sold to a Canadian magazine.

Fun story. I enjoy tales like that one. Congrats on the publication.

Thanks guys.

@Wordcaster: It's interesting that you mention the title (which isn't the original); the present title was chosen by the publisher, taken from the dialogue in the story. It's funny that it became the title, since when I submitted to American publishers I actually removed that line.
