Just found out my story 'Beauty Deconstructed' --a 2k far future sci-fi story--has been accepted by Daily Science Fiction!

Woo-hoo!

It was trialed on Hatrack here.

Niice..

But isn't this your second or third one there?

Are you taking them over?

Posted by skadder (Member # 6757) on :

No, it's my first to DSF.

I've congratulated in other places, but here again, Adam, congratulations!

I think we have to accept multiple congratulations are going to happen since we are at many of the same places! Thanks again!

Dang. I wondered what their lead time was.

5 months.

That's a lot of stories in the bank.

Can't wait to read it!

Thanks. It is a long wait, but I've had longer. Redstone SF accepted a story in March 2010 and published it in December 2010...

Well, I'm still waiting for publication from something accepted in the early 1990s. I really should write them one of these days. (Payment was on publication, too.)

Perhaps drop them a line, Robert. I am sure it's just an oversight...

I'm not even sure I remember the address. This was before computers---and my recent foray into cleaning out my office makes me wonder if I can find any specific info in among the trash.

I forgot to mention you can comment on the story (if you liked it or not) on DSF's Facebook page.

It is quite a good place to see what other's thought of a story compared to what you thought about it.

Hey, look at that. I have an Adam Colston story in my e-mail box. Gonna go read it now.

Edited to add: Excellent story.

I think I'll initiate a competition among myself and the other DSF reviewers. Whosoever can write the finest review to Adam's story shall be the one whose review is published.

I'm going to start now, because this is a competition I'd desperately like to win.

Too late Axie, if you had AC as a friend in facebook, you would have seen I wrote a review of it days ago.

Of course, I'm betting he would prefer your unread one to mine.

I sense darkness in this one...
