Who wakes up in the morning knowing they're going to be dead before the day is over? Very few people, I should imagine.

What doesn't come across in this version. (I've since tweaked it a bit) is the MC's fear. The allusions are there, but the connection is not.

Anyway, I'm blathering on. [Smile]
