A long time ago, we did the on-line survey that answers which SF author you are. This one tells you which SF/F character you are. www.tk421.net/character/

quote:
Yoda.

A venerated sage with vast power and knowledge, you gently guide forces around you while serving as a champion of the light.

Go figure.

quote:
Galadriel

Possessing a rare combination of wisdom and humility, while serenely dominating your environment you selflessly use your powers to care for others.

Hmmm... I suppose...

And looking at the statistics on the site, that is the most popular character given...

Another Yoda here.

I'm Delenn

Devoutly dedicated to helping lead others to glory, you are a strong, supportive, and spiritual caregiver.

Summoned, I take the place that has been prepared for me.

Delenn is a character in the Babylon 5 universe. You can read her biography at the Worlds of JMS fansite.

Hmm interesting

Posted by Gwalchmai (Member # 1807) on :

Hmmm, Yoda too.

Posted by Gen (Member # 1868) on :

Wow, we're even Yoda/non-Yoda.

I'm Jean-Luc Picard. "An accomplished diplomat who can virtually do no wrong, you sometimes know it is best to rely on the council of others while holding the reins"... oh dear.

I got Elrond...hmmm, does this mean I'm immortal? Probably not, but I could handle being an elf...better than a frog.

Sorry, here is the rest...

quote:

A stern yet benevolent organizer who often knows best, your wits are keenly fixed on aiding efforts you deem worthy.

Now at this last we must take a hard road, a road unforseen. There lies our hope, if hope it be. To walk into peril to Mordor.

That was tough. Some of those questions needed another answer. And I'm afraid I'm one of those people who weaves back and forth between logic and feelings. When I answered the more logical way, I was Galdriel. When I went the more emotional way, I was Delenn. Personally, I'd rather be like Delenn so I'll claim that one.

Another Galadriel here... wouldn't mind looking like her

Ooh . . . I got Gandalf.
quote:
A wandering spirit caring for a multitude of just concerns, you are an instrumental power in many of the causes around you.

And so am I, very dangerous: more dangerous than anything you will ever meet, unless you are brought alive before the seat of the Dark Lord.

sweet!

quote:
Agent Smith

With a coolly measured demeanor and adaptive thinking, you enforce your will on others using your multitude of abilities.

Do you hear that, Mister Anderson? That is the sound of inevitability.

Agent Smith is a character in The Matrix series.

Mwahahahahaha...

Posted by Phanto (Member # 1619) on :

And...*drumroll*

Galadriel!

They're keeping statistics.

http://www.tk421.net/character/stats.html

I'm surprised that Wesley Crusher ranks higher than "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya."

Harry Potter

Gifted and studious, you willingly approach the perils ahead with the help of your talents and friends.

(dubiously) Say what?

This is kind of irritating, because I've been told I look like the lightning-scarred wizard since the first film came out. 9 years older, of course, but still.

I went back and changed a few things that I was kind of on the fence about, and got...

quote:
Severus Snape

An enigmatic recluse with a mysterious past and even stranger loyalties, you are an intensely serious presence.

I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses...

Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

(Note: I wouldn't have liked this answer so much if Alan Rickman hadn't done such a good job portraying him in the films. That guy rocks! You ever watch Dogma? Awesome )

I got Aniken Skywalker. I pretty much agree. I'd take out a bunch of Sand people for Mom too.

Posted by Rahl22 (Member # 1411) on :

"Wesley Crusher" ... ahh, that sucks. hehe

A brilliant learner with a knack for almost everything, you choose to spend your efforts in the pursuit of travels that extend your own potential.

Maybe I am sick of following rules and regulations!

I guess I'm nobody. Stupid test won't go through. Got some screens that seemed to indicate it was over. Go figure.

Hey. If I'm nobody, I am somebody -- a la James Maxey.

Not over yet Kolona. I got Wesley Crusher. hmm...

WELL I AM:

(quote)Aragorn

Putting your appointed path ahead of any inner conflicts, you make your own rules for the benefit of all.(quote/)

I pretty much agree. But mostly because Aragorn is awesome.

I am "Snape"
Go figure...

But I insist on pronouncing my name, "Snappy"

Posted by rjzeller (Member # 1906) on :

Yoda.

That's interesting, but not suprising.

Here's what was: I ran the test again based on how I would describe the main character of my latest project to be, and the result?

Harry Potter. Wow. Not entirely what I had in mind...now...will this image ruin or aid my attempt to further develop my character?

interesting...

For pete's sake. I still can't get this to work. All I get is 'Internal Server Error' after I put in my answers. Sheesh.

Yeah, but what? It crossed my mind that maybe my answer combination doesn't jive with any of their pre-programmed responses.

Posted by Jon Boy (Member # 1512) on :

Maybe you have no personality.

Posted by Nexus Capacitor (Member # 1694) on :

Check out my wrinkled and green digs! I'm styling and profiling to the Degobah beat!

Um... I mean, I got Yoda.

Anakin . . . neat.

<giggle> D’ya think? That doesn’t bode well – fifty-six years and no personality to speak of. Maybe it all drained into the characters I’ve written. Yeah. That’s it. In fact, that could be a story. The more I write, the less I become. That could even justify my procrastination. Cool.

Or you could just have javascript disabled ....

Posted by Kolona (Member # 1438) on :

How do I know?

Posted by Ergoface (Member # 1429) on :

Kolona, you are not alone. All I get is internal server error. I tried both IE and Netscape, still no dice.

"Who are you? What do you want?, Who do you serve?"

I guess I'll never know!

I'm John Sheridan.

"An experienced survivor who has maneuvered around many obstacles, you are looked up to by those who rely on your good judgment." Yehboy.

No fair! I have no clue who this character is because I didn't watch Babylon 5.

It's also fun to reverse all your answers. My anti-character is Darth Maul.

Lisa

My anti-character is my favorite character from Deep Space 9: Quark.

Posted by Balthasar (Member # 5399) on :

My anti-character is Boba Fett.

Now, both Eric and I were Yoda, but when we reversed our answers, we have different anti-characters. I wonder what this means.

Posted by Gen (Member # 1868) on :

My anti-character is also Darth Maul. I feel a little less lonely being the only Picard...

Posted by Alias (Member # 1645) on :

My anti character is Han Solo

So I'm Snape (Snappy) whose nemesis is Han Solo ... interesting.

Posted by RillSoji (Member # 1920) on :

LOL my Anti character is Watto from Starwars eps 1.

Mischievous and self-interested, you are happy to take from others whatever matches your cunning interests.

Verry interesting. My anti-charachter is.

Boromir

With good intentions but misunderstood motives, you are a hardy, if somewhat unreliable, companion.

The strange thing is that, I think I actualy sit closer to being a mix of both my charachter and my anti-charachter than either one by themselves.

Interesting

Posted by JBShearer (Member # 9434) on :

My anti-character is Leonard "Bones" McCoy. Weird.

"An intent healer with a strong temper, you are often the voice of compassion when it comes to the concerns of others."

Another Yoda here. which fits pretty well since my philophosy on life is, "Speak softly and carry a big stick."

Posted by muogin (Member # 1963) on :

Wow, how totally inspiring, I am...

Gandalf!

Thanks so much for that post, it made my day to find out I'm alot like Gandalf!

Thanks,
Muogin
